Inside Mount
For an integrated feel, or to preserve the appearance of decorative window trims and moldings, mount your shades inside the window frame.
The shade must be able to move up and down freely without obstruction (such as by window cranks).
For inside mounted shades, there will be a light gap between the fabric and window frame (3/4” per side for roller shades, 1/4” per side for honeycomb shades).
Note: For inside mounted honeycomb shades, we deduct 1/8” per side from your entered width measurement to allow room for proper operation. less

Outside Mount - On Trim
For shallow windows, or if you want more coverage to darken a room, mount your shades on the window trim.
For windows without trim or molding, the shade can be mounted on the wall above the window frame.
Outside Mount - Above Trim
For added drama and to make your windows appear taller, mount your shades above the window trim.
Lutron provides 1/2” deep spacers for this mount style to ensure the shade clears the trim.
